2300 Class

 2332D and 2374D arrived in Thevenard from Queensland on 27 March 2023.

The 2300 Class locos were rebuilt by Queensland Railways around 2000 from earlier locos of the 1550, 2400, 2450 and 2470 classes. 2332D was originally 2402, and 2364D was built as 2460.

The 2300D sub-class indicates locos which have been fitted with enlarged fuel tanks and a toilet in the extended rear hood.

The top photo shows 2332D at Thevenard on 29 March 2023. In the bottom photo 2332 and 2474 are on a coal train at Macallister (Qld) on a gloomy 4 August 2005.
